Terms that's insulting to animals.

*** original article from the Furry News Network***

Domestic dogs, cats, hamsters or budgerigars should be rebranded as “companion animals” while owners should be known as “human carers”, they insist.

Even terms such as wildlife are dismissed as insulting to the animals concerned – who should instead be known as “free-living”, the academics including an Oxford professor suggest.

The call comes from the editors of then Journal of Animal Ethics, a new academic publication devoted to the issue.

It is edited by the Revd Professor Andrew Linzey, a theologian and director of the Oxford Centre for Animal Ethics, who once received an honorary degree from the Archbishop of Canterbury for his work promoting the rights of “God’s sentient creatures”.  In its first editorial, the journal – jointly published by Prof Linzey’s centre and the University of Illinois in the US – condemns the use of terms such as ”critters” and “beasts”. His Fursona is a Dark Gray Were Wolf with blue eyes, dark browish/black hair with a white pentacle in his chest fur. He is most often seen wearing Victorian style clothing such as a waistcoat, cravat, and frock coat often.

Also the gay community in trouble with Nature & Animal lovers for calling each other "bears" as a term refering to fat (sometimes not so good looking), mostly old (middle age) gay men.

Those with the animal totem/spirit of the bear feels insulted by gay men using the name of the animal.

Afro-Native American and animal rights activist Ruben Pandy explains- " I'm pissed at these guys in the Gay community for insulting animals. I interviewed half of these pricks myself, these guys claims they respect the animal and nature, yet they use the word "bear" not realizing how insulting it is. They're fakes. If they REALLY respected the REAL bears of the animal world they wouldn't DARE to use the name of the species in such vain. But I am worried, these people will pay for it all when the great white bear spirit and mother earth will deal with them all. I have nothing against gay or overweight people but my animal spirit guide/ totem and Mother Earth COMES FIRST, I don't respect anyone who disrespects animals and Mother Earth. Which is why I have NO respect for these men in the gay community."

Losing.

Charlie Sheen's much-hyped, sold out "My Violent Torpedo of Truth" tour began with a bust at Detroit's Fox Theater on Saturday.
PHOTOS: His craziest controversies of all time
According to multiple reports, the 45-year-old star provoked boos, audience walk-outs and demands for refunds during his rambling stage show. (The spectacle featured an appearance by his live-in "goddesses," a Q&A session about Sheen's wild life, film clips featuring his dad Martin Sheen and Johnny Depp, and a live rap by Simon Rexx.)

One disappointed audience member bellowed, "You suck!"
Sheen's retort: "Already got your f***ing money, dude."
After less than an hour, Sheen cut the extravaganza short; he left the stage for good, and the house lights were turned on.

"I want my money back!" audience member Linda Fugate told the Associated Press after walking out of the show. Fugate paid $150 for a pair of tickets. "I was hoping for something," she said. "I didn't think it would be this bad."
Added fellow fan Rodney Gagnon: "I expected him to at least entertainment a little bit. It was just a bunch of ranting."

Inspired by Sheen's ouster from Two and a Half Men following an epic battle with the show's creators and the studio, the 20-city tour is scheduled for the rest of April.
